I got tired of electric grinder motors failing on me and decided to stop filling the landfills with them. So, I bought this. It has a nice quality feel throughout and after a few months of use its still going strong. The adjustment feature is nice and you can get a very fine espresso blend if you want. Once you fiddle with the adjustment to find your perfect grind it doesn't come unscrewed and readjust itself (I was worried it would do that). It takes a week or so to get used to the amount of time it takes to grind a morning cup, but I have gotten used to it and don't mind anymore. In the morning I drink 2-3 mugs of coffee with a very fine grind and the grinding is really not all that long.I do have a fairly major complaint: there is no comfortable way to hold the grinder while you grind. It is designed to be held by your thighs but this doesn't really work because the handle doesn't stick out far enough from the top. So you scrape the tops of your thighs unless you hold it higher. But if you do that, the ergonomics don't line up and the ridges bite into you. It hurts after a while. Maybe I have fat thighs, I dunno. So what about just manning up and holding the thing while you grind? Well naturally you want to push down on the top while doing this, but again the handle doesn't stick out far enough. I can't fit my hand under the horizontal portion of the handle. I have girly hands too, so its not my fault this time. What works for me is to sit in such a way that the soles of my feet are together, slip the grinder in between, squeeze and grind. You need shoes for this and it works quite well. Really though, you look and feel ridiculous. Lets face it, this is a poor design. What it really needs is a base that allows you to mount it to a table. I'm probably going to end up doing this anyway.Other minor complaints: The tray where the grinds ends up is too small and overflows, I can't watch the coffee grind, its starting to squeak and I'm not sure WD-40 is edible (olive oil?).Conclusion: Don't get this thigh master model, get a different Zassenhaus grinder. I would consider a 151 or 161 and find a way to mount it.
